CAIRS-PRO is the dedicated instrument suite developed by Janach to support surgeons in Corneal Allogenic Intrastromal Ring Segments procedures. Designed in collaboration with M. Zagari M.D. and Prof. C. Mazzotta Ph.-M.D, the suite has been engineered to simplify the surgical workflow and to enhance precision during segment sizing, loading and intrastromal implantation.

The suggested set consists of two dedicated instruments:

• J2810.4A – Double intrastromal dissector spatula
  A double-ended spatula designed for the dissection of the intrastromal channels and for the controlled loading of the CAIRS ring segments into the corneal stroma.
• J4377 – CAIRS holder / sizing support
  A dedicated support for the sizing and preparation of the donor allogenic ring segments prior to implantation, contributing to a standardized and reproducible workflow.

Additional Tools

The CAIRS-PRO suite can be complemented by a selection of Janach instruments that support the different phases of the procedure:

• J2031.13 – Adjustable speculum, with gentle movement (peek insert), 13 mm open anatomic blades, titanium.
• J2115.18A – Double-ended instrument to unstick and lift the corneal flap in LASIK procedures. The delicate hook works at the flap edges inside the groove; the “C”-shaped tapered loop, once positioned below the flap, lifts it with a gentle push on the horizontal plane (from the hinge to the exit point).
• JD2890.600 (Ø 6.00) – JD2890.900 (Ø 9.00) – Disposable cutting-through vacuum donor punch.
• J2820.4 – Caliper, straight, 20 mm spread, graduated scale with 0.5 mm steps.
• MAMDP30 – Depth Knife.

Suturing Tools

For the suturing phase, the recommended instruments are:

• J3277 – Tying and stitch forceps for nylon and monofilament sutures, straight, with delicate 6 mm tying platform. Recommended for 8-0 to 10-0 sutures.
• J4197 – SnagFree Twister needle holder, curved, without lock, delicate tips, overall length 128 mm, titanium. Recommended for 10-0 to 11-0 sutures.
